# Linear Cynefin

The flat version of the Cynefin framework.

Linear Cynefin is useful to be used for an introduction to Cynefin for a team that's unfamiliar with that idea. It is to be facilitated in two steps:

  1. Frame a question
  2. Have a board of spectrum from unpredictable to predictable, and put issues or challenges in that spectrum
  3. Once done, place boundary lines, but refrain from using Cynefin jargons, from left to right
    • Boundary 1
      • Volatile & random, no predictability
      • Semi constrained, patterns emerge
    • Boundary 2
      • Mostly unpredictable
      • Mostly predictable
    • Boundary 3
      • Expertise needed
      • Clear to most people
