# Linear Cynefin
The flat version of the Cynefin framework.
Linear Cynefin is useful to be used for an introduction to Cynefin for a team that's unfamiliar with that idea. It is to be facilitated in two steps:
- Frame a question
- Have a board of spectrum from unpredictable to predictable, and put issues or challenges in that spectrum
- Once done, place boundary lines, but refrain from using Cynefin jargons, from left to right
- Boundary 1
- Volatile & random, no predictability
- Semi constrained, patterns emerge
- Boundary 2
- Mostly unpredictable
- Mostly predictable
- Boundary 3
- Expertise needed
- Clear to most people
- Boundary 1
