# Zettelkasten is not widely adopted because it is too simple for a complex problem

There have been many researches done on Zettelkasten to be a proven way to make writing work more effectively. The reason it was not being widely adopted though because of its simplicity (Ahrens 18). It is unfortunate that we have the preconception that great outcome requires great effort, or complex problem requires complex solution, especially in the world of writing.
